Use neutral coloured bedding – a master bedroom should use light neutral coloured bedding, as this helps brighten the room and make the bed appear larger. If you do have another colour within the room, use cushions or throw rugs of it in the room.
Declutter the bedroom – having unnecessary bedding, accessories or furniture can distract buyers. Research has shown that cluttered rooms lead to feelings of stress, fatigue and overwhelm.
Depersonalise the bedroom – remove all photos and personal items from view. Place makeup, hairbrushes and clothing out of sight. You want the buyer to be able to picture themselves living there and not see you!

Showcase storage options – storage is an important features buyers look for. This means whatever storage you have available needs to be highlighted. It can be tempting to put all the clothes and clutter from a bedroom inside the closet, but it is best to keep this area clutter free too. Choose a few nice pieces of clothing and hang them on coat hangers, removing the remainder to showcase the closet’s spaciousness.
